Governorship of Istanbul (GOI) is the highest regional authority in the city with a number of approximately 300 civil servants and giving service in various fields. Since, it is officially the highest administrative body, all the sub-governorships and directorates such as Directorate of Security, Directorate of Education and Directorate of Environment and Forestry are governed by Governor of Istanbul. When you think of all the sub-governorships and the directorates listed above or the ones that weren’t listed, the population of people working for the Governorship reaches a number of approximately 300.000 servants.
